Unveiling ‘The Unit’ – A Vidalia Onion Festival Premiere Event
This might be the single most exciting event in Coastal Solar’s history. If you own a farm, especially one that specializes in crops that need irrigation, we are in the final testing stages of creating a mobile solar energy platform.
It’s like a flatbed with solar panels, and it’s being designed for the purpose of powering mobile irrigation equipment.
You see, solar energy has been a money-saving energy solution for poultry houses, barns, processing plants, as well as homes and commercial businesses. But all those places are stationary.
Most irrigation farms use energy on the go, so solar hasn’t been a viable option for one of their primary energy needs. Until now.
We’ll have more to say about The Unit in the coming weeks and months. But you can be one of the first to see it in person if you come out to the 2017 Vidalia Onion Festival, where we’ll be putting it on public display for the first time.
